DESCRIPTION:

There is no place on earth quite like the desert southwest of the United States. Arizona exemplifies the beauty and culture of this unique part of our country.  From the "valley of the sun" of Phoenix, to the splendor of the red rocks in Sedona, you will not soon forget your experience in the "Grand Canyon State."

ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Arrival:  Arrive at our Scottsdale 4-star resort.  We will meet our full-time tour manager at the hotel upon arrival.  We will leave mid afternoon and head to Old Town Scottsdale for some free time to shop and explore this unique district in the Phoenix area.  Following a welcome dinner in Old Town, we will head back to the hotel where we can spend a relaxing evening enjoying the amenities.  Overnight in Scottsdale.

 

Day 2 – Canyon Lake and Rawhide: After a hearty breakfast provided at the hotel, we will make our way to Canyon Lake.  Here we will board the Dolly Steamboat for a breathtaking tour through the canyons of this desert oasis.  Be sure to be on the lookout for eagles and rams on the cliffs.  Following our tour, we will make our way back to Phoenix.  This afternoon you have the option of one of two attractions: you may either take in the Music Instrument Museum or the new Sea Life Aquarium.  After our time at the museum, we will return to the hotel to freshen up for the evening.  Tonight, we will take in a western style dinner and attraction at Rawhide.  We’ll see gunfights and other entertainment, and finish the evening at the Rawhide Steakhouse.  Following a full day, we will return to our hotel for overnight.

 

Day 3 – Sedona:  Following breakfast, we will check out and head to the beautiful town of Sedona in Northern Arizona.  On the way, we will stop at the lookout point of Oak Creek Canyon, where we will get a breathtaking view of the valley. You will also have a chance to browse among the many Native American booths selling their wares.  From here we will take the winding canyon road down into Sedona.  Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel, and immediately embark on a Jeep Tour in and around Sedona.  Following our tour, we will return to the hotel. This evening will be at your leisure in where you can get dinner on your own and enjoy the many shops and unique atmosphere of Sedona.  Overnight in Sedona.

 

Day 4 – Grand Canyon: After an early breakfast, we will make our way to Williams, Arizona.  Here we will board the Grand Canyon Railway for a journey to the Grand Canyon.  On board we will sit back and relax – but be wary of the outlaws who may try and rob the train (all in good fun, of course).  We will have an opportunity to enjoy a few hours at the south rim of the Grand Canyon where we can get some lunch and take in the views of this “wonder of the world.”  We will then board the train for our return trip to Williams.  In Williams we will get dinner at the buffet at the train depot before heading to Sedona for one more night and evening.

 

Day 5 – Return: After breakfast, we will check out and board the coach for our return trip to the Phoenix area.  We will have time to reflect on this wonderful journey we experienced in the desert southwest and all the beauty and excitement that make Arizona unique.

*Taxes and gratuities are included for hotels and meals.  However gratuities for your bus drivers, tour managers and local guides are not included.  It is customary to tip $1-2 per person, per day for your tour managers, and the same for your bus driver.

Important Note:

For this tour, you will need to plan on arriving at our Scottsdale hotel before 2:00 pm on Day 1, and you will need to plan on departing on day 5 after 1:00 pm.
